From there players are expected to fly to Tatooine and participate in the event. What does that mean exactly? Well, there are a bunch of things to do, which I'll outline here for you. There is a Quest Series, World Bosses, an Exploration Quest and Getting infected. Killing all three world bosses grants the "Containment Officer" title.
There is also a special vendor (write-up here) in the dune sea that will trade Rakghoul DNA samples for black/green crystals, a rakghoul pet, and a random companion customization. He is located just a bit Northwest of the crash site, making vendors display on your large area map will help you in locating him.

Quest Series:
http://swttor.blogspot.com/2012/04/swtor-rakghoul-epidemic-quest-line.html
The quest seriest begins just northeast of Outpost Thorazan. Just heading in to the area will pop the quest up, like Area quests you've likely run into in other places. If you look at your map, to the Northeast you'll see what looks like a bunch of broken scattered pieces, that's your goal.
The quest series isn't long or difficult, but it is hard to see what you're looking for at a few points. You'll also collect some blood from killing things which will start another quest line. For a full walkthrough click on the link above.
The day after you've completed the first quest series and gotten the first piece of armor another quest chain opens up for you. The assumption at this point is that each day another quest line will open allowing you to eventually gather a full set of armor. The follow-up quests are here:
Passenger List (Day 2) - http://swttor.blogspot.com/2012/04/swtor-rakghoul-event-passenger-list.html
Hybrid Strain (Day 3) - http://swttor.blogspot.com/2012/04/swtor-rakghoul-event-hybrid-strain.html
Pure Virus Sample (Day 4) - http://swttor.blogspot.com/2012/04/swtor-rakghoul-event-pure-virus-sample.html
Newly Infected (Day 5) - http://swttor.blogspot.com/2012/04/swtor-rakghoul-event-newly-infected.html

| Blending in with the locals, can you pick me out? |
World Bosses:
The two previous world bosses have been infected, and a third world boss was added (level 50). The two current bosses haven't changed other than in appearance so you can skip them if you don't mind missing the title and codex entry, but I would recommend getting in a whack at the third boss if you can.
As mentioned, killing all three grants a title (Containment Officer) and codex entry - the three of them are:
Trapjaw:

Trapjaw is located close to the middle of the dune sea. There is a vendor nearby in a tent - to trigger him you have to travel up one of the dunes to a circle of bones. In the center of the circle will be a clickable skull. If the skull isn't there you'll have to wait because someone killed him recently.
Zama Brak:
Zama Brak is located by the Sarlac Pit in the Dune sea (center north area, looks like a circle on the map). He is triggered by clicking a panel on a crashed escape pod sticking out of the stand. The escape pod is to the Northeast of the pit - if the pod isn't there you'll have to wait, someone has killed him recently.
Urtagh:
This is the new boss introduced with the event. He patrols around the outlaw den and looks like a giant infected bantha. The outlaw den is a free for all group pvp area so be careful if you're heading in there without a group - with the event going on World PvP has been at an all time high on my server.
Tracking the Origin:
This is an exploration quest that takes you all over Tatooine and eventually rewards you with a crimson Rakghoul pet all of your own. It begins from your spaceport where you have to do various things to trigger the quest. Once you have the quest you need to travel all around Tatooine scanning (12) pieces of wreckage before finally getting your reward. Some of the wreckage pieces are tricky to find, definitely worth the effort though.
Getting Infected:
Part of the real fun about the event is getting the plague and spreading it to your friends or enemies. Getting the plague is easy, just get attacked by something that has a green infected cloud hovering around it. Getting cured is also easy, purchase a serum "stim" from any medical droid in the area. Using it cures you and gives you immunity for 5+ hours.
Once you're infected you'll have a "Feverish" debuff that lasts between 10 and 20 minutes. At some point between those times it'll change and you'll have the glowing green cloud hovering around you and be really sick. If you die at this point you'll explode in a green puff of gas and infect anyone near you. You will automatically die within another 10-20 minutes. PvP is a good way to spread the disease, or you can just taunt some NPCs to kill you faster.
Dying while infected grants you 5 DNA samples which is the "money" you collect through this event to buy things from the special vendor. You don't have to wait to explode to get the DNA samples, suiciding or being killed by another player/NPC will still explode you and net you the samples.

I really like your blog, very nice colors & theme. Did you create this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you? Plz respond as I’m looking to construct my own blog and would like to find out where u got this from. cheers
