Our first time through we kind of ran in to this guy without paying attention. He is a mini-boss and not a difficult encounter, but worth noting because he can easily wipe a group that is caught off guard.
When you first attack him he will pull the whole group in toward him, then perform an AOE knockback that actually has a good distance on it. This can be fatal since you'll find him next to a tree bridge running between two cliffs. This is easily managed by pulling him away from the ledge before having everyone DPS him.
Depending on how fast you kill him he will perform the AOE pull and knockback one or two more times, the knockback isn't immediate, so make sure you position yourself in a good spot before getting knocked back.
