SWTOR - Ice Scrabbler Jerky

If you're looking for this jerky, you're probably looking to catch the Taunlet pet.  This is one of the things you'll need before you can capture it.

There are a few ways to obtain the jerky:

• Make it yourself (Biochems only)
• Get a friend to make it
• Buy it from the GTN
• Get lucky with a world drop (unconfirmed)

Making the Jerky 

First you need to know the recipe.  The schematic drops from Gargath or Snowblind.  You can also reverse engineer existing jerky to learn it.

The recipie requires basic Biochem ingredients, as well as some specific ingredients:
Pickled Space worm - Bought from the Cantina vendor on Hoth
Ice Scrabbler Liver - Random world drop on Ilum and Hoth
Ice Fern - Three confirmed locations on Hoth, 1/2 hour spawn time.

Finding Ice Ferns

Two of the locations are very close to the first republic base, so Reps will have an easier time checking those - the 1/2 hour spawn time is pretty forgiving, I've never gone looking and not had them be there.

Location #1 ( -2820 , -500 )

For this one you have to climb up the mountain in the southern area here, start almost by the exit to the next zone, there is a ridge you can drive up all the way to the top.

Just past the power generator to the north of the base, hiding behind a small rock on the ground, you have to drive almost all the way around the rock to see it.

This is on the east side of the bridge down by the crystal wastes (Snowblind's Spawn area).  This is basically right on the edge of the two zones and a bit off the map.  Just head to this area and you should see the bridge and figure be able to find it from there.
